(May 13, 2020) COVID-19 Statement - The National Nurse Practitioner Symposium is currently scheduled to take place as planned July 9-12 (pre-symposium day July 8; Rocky Mountain Retreat July 7-8) in Keystone. We are monitoring updates issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the World Health Organization (WHO), Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE), and Summit County Public Health. We are working closely with Keystone Resort to ensure measures are in place for your health and safety.

Call for Abstracts 2020

The 2020 National Nurse Practitioner Symposium (July 9-12, 2020, pre-symposium day July 8) will be accepting abstracts on clinical topics, innovative practice settings, research, and other topics related to advanced practice nursing in primary care and acute care. Preference will be given to those with clinical applicability, demonstrative innovative models of care, completed research with outcome studies, and future‐oriented perspectives, that will develop and enhance the skills of the healthcare provider.

Podium Abstracts can be submitted from August 1, 2019 to October 1, 2019

Poster Abstracts can be submitted from August 1, 2019 to April 1, 2020 * (EXTENDED TO APRIL 15, 2020)

Guidelines & Information

  • Abstracts of 500+/- words in length will be accepted online
  • In addition to abstract and contact information, a curriculum vitae (CV) and a completed Disclosure Form will be required.
    • Includes presenters/authors and co-presenters/co-authors
    • Applicable to Podium sessions and Poster sessions
    • Primary presenter must provide an e-mail address for all co-presenters/co-authors after submitting an abstract proposal
  • A needs assessment statement, three learning objectives and abstract summary will be required. (For research projects, please include a discussion of background, methods, results, conclusions, and references. For clinical or practice abstracts, please include a discussion of evidence-based practice and references.)
  • Presenters are responsible for their own travel and related expenses

      1. Podium presentations will be 60 or 90 minutes in length
      2. Presenter is required to attend Symposium and register for day(s) presenting
      3. $250 tuition credit per presentation (can be allocated among multiple presenters if desired)
      4. Abstract submission deadline is October 1, 2019
      5. Notification of abstract acceptance will be by October 15, 2019
      6. Confirmation of acceptance by primary author is required by November 1, 2019
      7. Electronic file of presentation content is required by May 15, 2020 for accreditation purposes
